The Southwest Photo Club was founded in 2006 as an educational community photo club located in Littleton, Colorado. We have monthly meetings and/or events that feature highly-regarded local photographers who present on specific topics of interest based upon our member’s requests.
We encourage our members to share their photos, not for competition, but to help each other learn and grow as photographers. Each month there is a photo assignment intended to challenge our members to take images of a specific subject, or topic, to stretch their photographic talents. These are then presented at our monthly meetings.
By following each step of our image submission guidelines you are helping out our volunteers and allowing for a smoother and more organized photo presentation. Thank you!
1 – Image size 2000 pixels (px) on the long side and save as jpg.
2 – Add your personal watermark to each of your images.
3 – Rename / save file as (example):
*Please note: The image labeled with #1 will be displayed on our website.
4 – Upload – Use the “submit” link located at the bottom of the pertaining event before the deadline specified.
*Forgot to rename your files after uploading? Please re-upload them with correct files/specs and we will delete the incorrect ones. Join our Facebook group to communicate any issues.
Meetings and Field Trips
For our monthly educational meetings, we meet on the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Abiding Hope Lutheran Church at 6337 South Robb Way, Littleton, Colorado. There are occasional date and location changes, so please check this website before heading to a meeting. We also schedule several day and overnight photography field trips, led by club volunteers, which will be posted here.

Thank you to our volunteers
We communicate with members primarily through this website. From here, we link to Meetup.com to RSVP for meetings and activities. We also have a Facebook Group (link below), where we share pictures, communicate ideas, and organize field trips with fellow photographers. This platform has given us a real sense of community and we highly encouraged our members to sign up.
Mike’s Camera gives us great discounts on prints, classes, etc., and often provides us with excellent speakers for our monthly meetings. Thank you to Scott Dougherty, Manager of the Lone Tree store, for all of your years of service to SW Photo Club. We would not be the club we are today without you!
